The Phoenix Zoo’s Pet Memorial program is dedicated to serving the companion animal community throughout Arizona. The Pet Memorial program helps individuals with the loss of a beloved pet by honoring the life of their best friend. The sole function of the Pet Memorial program is to raise money for the zoo’s animal care facility (Joyce Corrigan Memorial Care Center).

Donations are made on behalf of a pet that has passed away. Proceeds are used to enhance veterinary care of the Zoo’s exotic and domestic animal collection home to more than 1,200 animals representing 313 species!

The Pet Memorial program is supported by those committed to caring for and about companion animals:

  • Veterinarians
  • Veterinary clinics and hospitals
  • Boarding and grooming facilities
  • Obedience trainers

These professionals contribute to the Zoo in its mission to promote the well-being of the natural world.

Clients will receive a frameable “In Remembrance” certificate, a reminder of the positive impact the pet has made in their life. This thoughtful deed demonstrates sympathy and compassion, and assists the client with the grieving process.

Veterinary contributors will receive an annual thank-you letter with tax receipt, as well as an invitation to a thank-you event. The donations will contribute to equipment and maintenance for the Joyce Corrigan Memorial Care Center.
